About us

One team, four disciplines

Built so that the people who test your site, the people who fix it and the people who would defend it are the same people.

Why we exist

Web accessibility has an unusually crowded market of bad answers. On one side, vendors sell a script tag that promises instant compliance. On the other, a small plaintiff bar files thousands of near-identical complaints a year. In between sit businesses that would happily do the right thing if somebody told them clearly what it was.

ADA Mitigation was built to be that answer: one team that can test your site properly, fix it in the code, keep it fixed, and stand next to you if a claim is filed. Not four vendors emailing each other.

How we work

People first, criteria second
WCAG is the measure, not the goal. Every audit includes assistive technology driven by someone who uses it well, because a site can satisfy every criterion and still be unusable.
Code, not overlays
We have never installed an overlay for a client and we will not start. Every fix goes into the product, where it survives your next redesign.
Findings you can act on
A finding without a location, a criterion and a recommended fix is a complaint, not a deliverable. Ours read like tickets because that is what they become.
Honest conformance claims
We will not sign a conformance report that says “supports” where the truth is “partially supports”. An overstated VPAT is a liability with a logo on it.
Legal and technical in one room
Our attorneys sit in the audit debriefs, and our auditors sit in the settlement calls. That is the whole design of the firm.
We eat our own cooking
This website is built and tested to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Our accessibility statement says what conforms, what does not yet, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.

How the practice is structured

Engagements are run by four groups that work together rather than in sequence:

  • Audit & testing — certified accessibility specialists and assistive-technology testers, including testers with disabilities who use these tools daily.
  • Engineering — front-end developers who work in your repository, your framework and your review process.
  • Legal — in-house attorneys handling demand letters, litigation, settlement and consent-decree work, plus expert support for outside firms.
  • Programme — the people who keep a remediation roadmap on schedule and your evidence file current.

Who we work with

E-commerce and retail, healthcare providers and payers, financial services, higher education, state and local government, SaaS platforms, and the law firms that defend them. Company sizes from a single storefront to enterprise platforms with hundreds of templates. If you are a microenterprise with a five-page site, say so — the honest answer is often a small fixed-fee engagement, not a programme.

A note on what you will not find here

We do not publish client logos, testimonials or case-study names without written permission, and accessibility matters are frequently confidential. If you would like references, ask during a briefing and we will arrange what our clients have agreed to.
